So it has been over 6 months since the last post here and I haven't really done a thing with the server lol. I've been wondering why is the server still a 'beta'.... Well that won't be the case for much longer, as next weekend I plan on officially removing the 'beta' designation.
Not much will actually be changing as far as plugins or what not, but there is one major change coming. The IP for the server will be changing. I hate doing this but it has its benefits. I'll be switching the server over to a different modem, which is the cause of the IP change, but the server will get at least double the bandwidth now with the new modem (well its actually not new, I have 3 different modems on different accounts and this is one of my two older ones).
I need to go through a bunch of stuff and make a list of everywhere that has anything specific to the current IP that will need to be changed so hopefully the next week will give me enough time to do that prior to physically swapping out the modems.
At least the negative impact of an IP change should be minimal as server traffic is pretty much a joke these days.... I'll make another post when the server actually switches to the new IP...
